Sex Offender Convicted Of Raping Teen Girl Reports Move In Valley Stream

A registered sex offender who was convicted of raping a teenage girl has reported a move in Nassau County.

The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to residents in Nassau regarding the residency of 33-year-old Daniel McMenamin, who has reported a move to Highland Road in Valley Stream.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned McMenamin as a level two threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, McMenamin had deviate sexual intercourse and sexual contact with his 14-year-old victim in November 2014. He was convicted of second-degree rape and criminal sexual act with a victim under the age of 15 on April 8 this year. McMenamin is now under the jurisdiction of the Nassau County Police Department's Missing Persons and Sex Offender Registry Unit.
